With your Level 99 Dragon Whisker and Penetrator X and Penetrator stacked, you'll end the fight in just a minute or two. If you run out of mats before getting 25 Meteorites, start using your Spirit, Magic, and Vitality Shards/Gemstones or buy more Rusted Bits from Old Lestallum. Since you already have a Cactuar Needle (from mining) that imbues the standard Penetrator ability, giving a comparable 30% defense down, and since you don't really need the Tears until you're doing the post-game content in the Standalone, you can skip farming for one now. Note that you will still need some Gil at the end to buy 100,000-150,000 kW to get the 999,999 kW so don't spend too much! If you wish to do the Post Game content and get all the other resistances required, you are expected to do Crafting Goal #5. It isn't too bad though because you should get at least 1 Needle every 3 or so trips (on average). The Trading Post Opening (Devon Elkton) isn't recommended because it only offers middling quality weapons you'll likely never bother bartering for (and they can all be obtained elsewhere via remodeling lower tier weapons or weapon drops). A few seconds after the cutscene, the game will auto-save, and you'll get your first Trophy: Beacon of Hope. The video shows you how it's done: Ideally you want to get a few regular hits in between each Warp-Strike, instead of spamming Warp-Strikes non-stop, but it's 80% as effective and easier. Value: 2,000 gil. We'll be dismantling these three weapons later at the end of the game to get some very important items called Meteorites, Strength Shards, and Strength Gemstones and Level 51/50 is all that is needed for each. You may die a few times ("Rejoining the fray"), so keep your eyes open for the ingredients. The first screenshot shows four empty ingredient slots for me and the three AI while playing offline. The Javelin will be remodeled into a Heavy Lance at Level 20, increasing its Max Level to 40. Note: If you are playing a newer Comrades version (e.g. Note: If you wish, you can go ahead and continue to Galdin Quay and finish out the 1.0 Comrades content and beat the game. Important: Whenever an enemy is Vulnerable, Prompto can spam Crackshot about 3 times (keep pressing TRIANGLE when you see Crackshot on the screen) doing massive damage per hit (5000-9999 damage). I've made a Trophy List that you can reference showing the differences between the versions if you're ever confused. Breaking the second leg will cause it to stay down permanently. Finally, try to break the boss's tusks to get a Great Garula Tusk. Equipment & Magic / Items / Treasures. So if it's night, I recommend to restart the game to reset the time to morning (OPTIONS > Return to title). FFXV 1.26), please see the Alternate Crafting Goal #4 at the end of this section as your crafting steps differ from 1.0 players who used Laser Sensors. If you attack and break their tusks, you'll get a Garula Tusk, which is much better for crafting than Garula Fur. Note: You can also view the original map with all the locations listed, made by @TFORTIERPHOTO here: https://i.redd.it/zb6lwqsguqzz.jpg. You will be able to mine a rock about 2-3 times until the spot has been fully excavated, so if the game still lets you mine the rock again, do so. Back at Lestallum, talk to Jeanne (Send Power) to power up the 8,000 kW Power Line south of Old Lestallum to Hidden Harbor, a new Outpost. You probably won't get the 999,999 kW trophy yet, but don't worry, we'll come back here later and get it as part of Trophy Cleanup #1. You'll unlock Cauthess Depot shortly after Roboresurrection. No luck so far though . You'll be thrown into a Solo Quest: Let Sleeping Kings Lie, which requires you to just defeat some Goblins with an AI named Miles. If you get Kenny Crow as an AI, you'll find this one much easier to do. Afterwards, power up the 9,800 kW Power Line northeast of Norduscaen Garrison and get The Wise's Sigil: Dragoon Drain. Diara - Superior Light-type elemental magic. Go up the next small level of steps for a scene to earn 500 kW and talk to Libertus to select a Birthplace. Prefer using any non STR/VIT mats first e.g. Your first priority is to use 18 Chrome Bits to level and remodel your Level 1 Imperial Blades into a Level 30 Imperial X-Blades. When fighting the Behemoth King, keep your distance, equip Stormbind, hold down TRIANGLE to charge the Total Clarity Bar, then press TRIANGLE again to do a long-range lightning attack. In the tutorial battle that follows, you can actually skip every single enemy and just rush to the [ ! ] In this hunt's last wave, when the Garulessa boss appears, kill all the smaller Garulas first so you get more item drops. Available weapon types are katana, club, dagger, shuriken, polearm, crossbow, and shield. Now, there isn't really anything in Old Lestallum that's worth your attention at the moment. You may be wondering why we're stopping specifically at Level 51/50 for a couple of the Weapons and not going to their maximum Level 60. Though you're probably still too weak to worry about any of that and will be happy just to kill it. While it would be slightly more optimal at this point to not have it equipped, I recommend just equipping it only for the next two Urgent Quests you'll be doing. Note: If you don't see the Quest available from Monica, power the 1,600 kW Power Line leading south to Old Lestallum (A3). If you only have decently strong weapons, the boss in the weaker quest variant. Your final goal before updating to Comrades 1.2 is to grind Ghost in the Machine for about 2 hours doing the Item Drop bug until you have around 350,000 Gil. Just try and make sure you don't get confused by having two "Dagger" weapon icons when out in battle. You'll need them later. You can now buy the final mats you'll need to do your last crafting session. However, if you have no choice and are playing a newer version like 1.2 or the Standalone, I've added alternate strategies for your versions in Highlighted Blocks like the one above. Try not to target or fight the Hobgoblins that also appear unless there aren't any Spiracorns nearby (they are high level and are mainly a distraction). Final Fantasy XV - Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades . There are plenty of ingredients near the Behemoth King, so just prioritize picking one up if you die. See, it's all nothing but a whole lot of Monica, I'm afraid. Important: This section is purely optional so please don't feel that you have to get either of these Weapons. The Vitanova is a Club weapon and is widely considered to be one of the best restorative weapons and can also serve as the restorative weapon slot among your "Ultimate" Weapons (either it, the Cornflower, or later on, the Artemis' Bow). The birthplace affects the stats you get at level up. For reference, in 5 hours, you will have done 50 Battles (10 Battles every 1 Hour) and should have earned: Note: If you're playing a newer Comrades version (e.g. I'll let you know which Urgents require this in each of the below sub-sections. Check the Chocobo and Entrust it to the Engineer. Also, in the table below, you will skip any dismantling that involves Drooping Whiskers. (Selecting a Birthplace), Descent into Darkness: Supply power to the city's facilities. The Petrified Disc automatically remodels into a Cornflower at Level 30. You will have an easier time as you will have to Point-Warp less often to restore MP. If you don't have 5 Dynamos yet, just come back when you do. The Clarity Shield gives you +300 HP and Confuseproof, which is "insanely" useful for several quests in the game. There are five types of mining rocks on the field: Fragile, Crystal-Laden, Metal-Laden, Shell-Laden, and Fossil-Laden. Selling 99 Electrolytic Condensers should net you 17,325 Gil per run and 99 Laser Sensors double that at 34,650 Gil. Back up your FFXV Comrades save data onto USB/PS+ (~100MB) and then delete it from your system storage. Power up the 13,000 kW Power Line it was blocking to get The Just's Sigil: Omniguard. I simply did a little of the dismantling math in advance (37 Chrome Bits per Weapon = 74 STR), so you get the most bang for your buck. Your AI friends will be Libertus, Miles, and Elea. There is a bug sometimes where your pickax will disappear or you'll be thrown out of the mining sequence -- that's OK, just keep pressing O and you'll get the item. Here's an Easy way to Build your Dragon Whisker! The Cornflower is arguably the best Shuriken in the game because it comes with two innate Abilities that can restore both your HP and MP by simply attacking: Soulsiphon X and Lifedrain X. You will be referencing this map of the electrical grid for the next several hours of the game. Dragon Whisker, Dancing Daggers, Lohengrins, Vitanova, Crimson Flashes & More!00:51 - Crim. If you started by playing a newer Comrades version (1.2 or Standalone) and did the 5-7 Hours of Ghost grinding instead, just buy the 100,000 kW. Prioritize killing the weaker Level 12 Mutant Sahagins first, then the Level 15 Gurangatchs. This is a GOD TIER BUILD of the Dragon Whisker for Final Fantasy 15 (FFXV) Comrades! In order to do this, you'll need to get another Cactuar Needle from Meldacio (Mining), and then hunt for the other mats needed for the Corsesca in the upcoming Urgent: The Baleful Bandersnatch. It seems to be RNG I'm afraidor is it? The Jabberwocks usually drop 6 ingredients like Fresh Heart and Big Beast Bone, which should be enough to guarantee you getting Cid's Level 3 Crafting Boost (if Cid shows up). We won't be using the Kite Shield(s) for very much longer, so it doesn't really matter what mats you use. Though you do at least get the item drops. Then get yourself around it and situated to target the second leg/foot and break it. We will level all our weapons with Laser Sensors, and also finally remodel the Corsesca into a Dragon Whisker. You should already have 99 Rusted Bits, so you'll need to go back twice to buy 99 and then 2 more (99 + 99 + 2 = 200). The Kite Shields give you an easy 100 HP each (they stack). Although Libertus buffs you, his buffs are random. If you're too far away, you'll do a lot less damage, thus affecting the HP/MP you'll get back. Your STR and MP will drop, but your HP and VIT will increase substantially. This is what my character looked like at this point in the game for reference, after about 4-5 hours in: You're now strong enough to get the mats for your ultimate weapon, the Corsesca, which you will remodel later into a Dragon Whisker. The final boss battle is like a Level 99 Quest in terms of difficulty and will be your hardest fight thus far. Version: 1.00 | Updated: 07/19/2019 Highest Rated Guide. You must kill all 7 enemies, so help your AI kill the mobs first then the boss. Sorry, I tried, I really did. If remodeling . If you lose the battle, the game will be kind enough to let you restart it immediately. Lestallum could be argued to be the better overall pick if you're planning on leveling high or all the way to Level 99, as it gives you nearly +900 more HP at the end. Kill the two Mutant Gargoyles that spawn afterwards and the quest will be over. You can also purposely wear your old gear (e.g. Let's now go back to farming kW from Roboresurrection to power up the D Path and until we get to Urgent: The Ghastly Griffon (D1). Point-Warp to a lamp post if the situation is hairy or you need MP. If you're having any hint of trouble with him, refer back to Crafting Goals #2 and #3 and power up your gear. You can also go ahead to each Outpost and Elect Leaders to start earning some donations (collected in Lestallum's Supply Center, on the lowest level). Do not get too far out from the red line or you will Abort the Quest! When the quest starts, ignore the two MA-Veles bosses at first. Warp-Strike and aerial attack to break their horns to get the Helixhorns; you should hopefully be getting 1-2 per run like with the Sharp Scythes previously. You will use the new Level 1 Clarity Shield instead for all your dismantling work. Even by this point in the game, you'll be so powerful there's really no point in me writing a strategy for this quest. Note: There's one minor exception in following this roadmap. Just hold the O Button to attack and use his 3-Bar Glaive Art Maelstorm (TRIANGLE), then press TRIANGLE again after a few seconds when the Triangle Icon appears to do the 2nd part of the Glaive Art: Duel Master. Then a Defense with Troopers and Flans, which is easy, ending with 2 MA-Veles and 1 MA-X Maniple (break their legs as usual). Since we still don't have the mats to actually craft or level it, just leave it unequipped and in your inventory at Level 1 for now. Also, there's two more Birthplaces, but they won't become available until you complete two optional Level 99 Quests. You should get at least 1-2 Sharp Scythes per run, so you should only need to repeat this quest once or twice. Also, if you still have The Oracle's Sigil: Healing Light equipped, unequip it (OPTIONS > GEAR > L3) as we're about to get a lot more STR/VIT from crafting. To differentiate them from the newer ones, your newer Clarity Shield and Imperial X-Blades should have higher STR/VIT, as they were leveled using godly Laser Sensors. Play data will be saved and the game will resume from Lestallum with all Royal Sigils collected. The Tears imbue Penetrator X, one of the best abilities in the game dropping the target's defense by 50%. Final Fantasy XV Wiki. If you started with 1.2 or the Standalone, you won't need to do any update to continue on. However, if you absolutely have to try doing this though, I recommend creating a new Level 1 Character, equipping them with your Dragon Whisker and other high level gear, and doing a high level Quest in which the Level 5 AI will die quickly in (make sure they are completely dead, e.g. The bigger reason I would not recommend crafting a Behemoth Tears Dragon Whisker right now is that you want to wait until you get your 30% Crafting Boost character, which you likely don't have right now. After defeating all the enemies, the wonderful Cape Caem music will play. Can break from Jormungand in Infernal Infestation. It's OK if you don't have enough kW to get to the Royal Sigil behind the Urgent. If you didn't, get about 450,000 Gil. Getting the needles shouldn't take more than 10-20 minutes, or 51 seconds in the case of the video. I've played both, and I would recommend Insomnia to most players. We'll be buying a lot of kW after updating to Comrades 1.2 in order to do this. until you get the 2 Cactuar Needles. I'll remind you about it then. It can also take several hours (if not days) to get and may prove to be a frustrating experience. (Trophy: Kingly Blessing), Cauthess Depot (Bartering for a Dancing Daggers), Mining for a Cactuar Needle (Free Mining Bug), Crafting Goal #2: Chrome Bits and a Cactuar Needle, The Corsesca: Prelude to a Dragon Whisker, Urgent: Ghost in the Machine (Item Drop Bug), Crafting Goal #3: Laser Sensors and a Level 99 Dragon Whisker, Bros Training: Gladiolus, Prompto, and Ignis (Trophy: Royal Retinue Rumble), Descent into Darkness: Head to Galdin Quay, Galdin Quay: The Bladekeeper's Trial (Trophy: Cleaving a Path), Descent into Darkness: Retrieve the Royal Sigils (7). If you wish to though, you can unequip it by pressing L3. So Hold SQUARE to block and initiate a Chain Warp. Get the ingredient from the store and then deal with the second wave of Goblins and mobs. For now, just keep it at Level 1 and replace one of your Level 1 Kite Shields with it. Please take a moment to reference the Dismantling section. Before updating to 1.2, there are a few things you might wish to do while you're still playing 1.0. When you start reaching 99 on the Electrolytic Condensers, periodically sell some, but try to make sure you end up with around 99 Electrolytic Condensers in your inventory when you're finally done farming. Important: You must do the Urgent: The Baleful Bandersnatch in the next section before crafting this. He uses guns and plays a lot differently than the others. If you start with 1.0, you'll be able to clear the Walkthrough in only about 15 hours. It will take 37 Chrome Bits total to go from Level 1 - 51 on your Javelin -- don't worry, it's OK if you didn't have enough Chrome Bits to go all the way to Level 51 right now. Sky Gemstone is used to apply this spell to a weapon. Since you're still weak, it will take about 5 or more minutes to kill the boss. The Treasure Shop (Mats) doesn't have anything great, aside from Rusted Bits, for dismantling Shot Resistance gear. If it took you a couple hours longer, that's OK. You're still well ahead of the curve by being here at the 15-20 hour mark. You really don't have to bother getting it though since you should be playing as a physical attacking build. I can't guarantee this will work for you, and I don't really recommend wasting your time doing this, but if you're about to throw the controller on the TV screen the next time you see Monica, it may be that a new game might help change your luck! You probably won't see the Inventory Full go out for the Laser Sensor since the item drop notifications are so backed up; you'll get a "feel" for it after a few times when you've hit 99 Laser Sensors based on time alone. Ignore the smaller Malboro Sprouts, stay behind the big Malboro and attack. If you're low on Gil, you can lower the Whisker quantity or skip the Whiskers altogether and buy 9 Sinister Sharpscale (38,340 Gil or 30,672 Gil [20%]) instead to get the 90% + 10% = 100% Fire Resistance you'll need for the final battle -- you should have 10% already from the Dragon Whisker. It adds cooperative multiplayer to the game and allows players to create a customizable avatar and take on quests with up to three other players online. A common misconception is that all you need for Ifrit is Fire Resistance, but you actually also need Shot Resistance too. These new ones will be replacing your old Level 50 Weapons. If a Malboro swallows you, the game will give you a chance to Counter afterwards by pressing O (make sure to hold down the button), so be on the ready. The dismantling and crafting sections will take around 30-60 minutes to complete, so make a backup save in case you make a mistake. (Note: My character had crafted the DW to Level 120 instead of Level 119 because at the time I was not planning on covering the Standalone/Post-Game content.). Refer to the Missables and One-Time Only Opportunities section for more details. Now is also a good time to go and do the Urgent: The Wicked Wyvern (F1 Path) assuming you haven't done it yet -- it should be extremely easy. You can then replace your Imperial X-Blades with it. > Icon on the bottom level of town, near the Lestallum Supply Station and the steps leading you up. If you pick one up and Cid shows up back at camp, this may help your chances in getting his Crafting Boost (Level 3). In order to remodel your Corsesca, you'll probably need to do this quest about 2-3 times to get 3 Octolegs and 3 Monster Jaws. Unfortunately, this only seems to work when you use the Return to Title menu option, as closing the game entirely (via Close Application) tends to just spawn you back at Lestallum the next time you begin. Game Info. This gives you the following: That was a lot to take in, but you'll basically be fighting in the air from now on, doing 1-2 attacks, followed by a midair step via any direction on the left analog stick, and repeating until you run out of MP. Do this quest/bug until you've gotten at least ~60 Laser Sensors and then move to the next section, Crafting Goal #3. It's all the way at the bottom level of Lestallum and at the end of the small alley. After beating the bros the first time, at some point later on (while still even playing Comrades 1.0 or after updating to 1.2), you might see a short cutscene when you load into Lestallum, signaling the Bros have arrived all together. With your Knight's Lance imbued with Penetrator you can definitely take on this quest. However, if you just can't beat him normally, then this may be your best bet. Prefer using the more EXP-efficient Iron Giant Armor and Strong Bones over the Garula Tusks. You'll be able to actually buy kW here (using Gil!) If you make Ifrit Vulnerable while in Phase 2 or 3, he'll come back momentarily to Phase 1 and you'll go back to doing a ton of damage, so keep up the pressure if you notice him staggering. Thanks to Hellepi for this guide, they're a champ on the FFXV Discord!CORRECTION! Keep moving, and try to get to his back/side area to avoid his front-facing sword-play attacks, while comboing him hard for a few hits. If you're playing the Standalone, your allies should start with ingredients. Your first task is to get the "initial" 7 Royal Sigils. Your character will "throw" their weapon and the screen will turn a blue hue. If you attack a Malbodoom near its mouth/teeth area, it may rarely drop a Petrified Disc. Also, when it's nighttime, it's a little harder to see when mining as you'll be using your flashlight with reduced visibility. If you want to be optimal though, keep continuing with the Shuriken for another 3 or so minutes and try to hit 99 Laser Sensors. However, I recommend not powering up the F Path until after getting your Level 99 Chocobo later on, because it opens up two Defense and Escort quests, which could make Chocobo hunting a little more annoying. You can start dismantling when you get the Engine Schematics (Key Item) in the 1.2 storyline, which is obtained by powering up Hidden Harbor on the electrical grid. You can also use his special ability, ARMIGER (L1 + R1) when the blue circular meter around your weapons has filled, then after it's been activated, just hold O Button to do a ton of hits and massive damage. The final Power Line requires a whopping 50,000 kW, so if you're just short, just head to Old Lestallum and buy more kW. That's 1 STR and 1 VIT per 125 EXP, extremely efficient. searched on the wiki but couldn't find anything . Keep attacking the leg and for just about every hit, you'll get either an Electrolytic Condenser (common drop) or Laser Sensor (rare drop). Unfortunately, it's also annoying to get as you'll need to do a hard Defense quest, Havoc Befalls the Hut, which you should have unlocked right after beating the Urgent: The Ghastly Griffon (D1). You'll want to switch them up depending on the enemy's weakness, although I tend to stick with Flamebind or Frostbind generally since they combo well. It's not required, but it is a "nice to have" (for bragging purposes). Standalone (Post Game) Note: Before updating to the Standalone, and while you are still playing Comrades 1.2 (FFXV 1.26), you may wish to do the Final Round: The Bladekeeper's Trial. It is 100% harder to do in the Standalone version due to a key change the developers made, but it is a completely optional quest that is not tied to any trophies. Note: This quest is your best chance to get the Magic Pot Shard, but this is a fairly useless treasure item (and is not tied to any trophies). Note: Prioritize attacking and breaking the Killer Wasps first while your AI handles the other mobs. You are actually able to take down the final boss right now without much difficulty with your current Chrome Bit-leveled gear. Colorful Griffon Claws in Urgent: The Ghastly Griffon (0:37 Video). This quest will test how strong you really are; if you can't kill the Yojimbo fast enough, you will struggle. Type: Treasure. Drooping Whiskers is an upgrade item which houses this spell. It's by the EXINERIS Power Plant, and down the path from where you met Gladiolus and the bros. You can help Final Fantasy XV Wiki by expanding it. Note: You will need 1 or 2 Treant Sap for Crafting Goals #2 and #3. Rinse and repeat. Power up the remaining Power Lines in Lestallum afterwards and a cutscene will ensue with Holly, who will issue you a Solo Quest. The video shows you how to find him. Note in Hidden Harbor, the elevator (where you came out of, above Cid's Remodeling Station) lets you use the Shuttle to go to other Outposts. If you still have any Chrome Bits remaining from that, you can start to level the Imperial X-Blades and Clarity Shield with the Bits, stopping at Level 50 for both. With the Rampage Sigil, the fight might take about 10 or so minutes. So always keep an eye out for "Vulnerable" enemies and get near to Crackshot them! This will then be your backup option for the trophy. Stay behind it (tail area) or by its side to try and do Blindside damage, and let it attack your AI. Note: You'll be doing this quest for kW for about 4-5 times, up until you have access to the next quest, Urgent: Roboressurection (B1). You could level these weapons up higher if you wanted, but you'd be unnecessarily stronger while wasting Gil, mats, and time in the long-run. Sell Price (Gil) 1,950 gilG. When you want to stop, just switch to your Polearm to make short work of it. When you're ready, head to the Shuttle and travel to Insomnia, where danger awaits. You can Point-warp (TRIANGLE) and Warp-Strike (R1 + TRIANGLE). The Australian Dorper and White Dorper Association Inc (ADWDA) is the Australian breed organisation for all breeders of Australian Dorper and White Dorper sheep. Although this was a friendly resort town in FFXV, this will actually lead you to danger and to the final boss battle in the 1.0 Comrades content. However, don't worry if you didn't get it the first time. People asked for it! Do not equip the Corsesca/Dragon Whisker until you've leveled it to 99. Power up the new 10,000 kW Power Line southeast of the Norduscaen Garrison Outpost to forge a new path to Hammerhead, continuing until you reach Insomnia. Then you react to it. First, travel to Meldacio and re-buy 1 Imperial Blades (3,000 Gil) and 1 Clarity Shield (7,030 Gil). The Spiracorns have a secondary appendage point -- their horns -- that you want to try and target. Optionally, you may wish to build out a Club weapon just for this and level it up a bit for easier breaks using quick Jump Attacks. However, this is a rare drop and can take several hours to get depending on your luck. Make sure you're wearing your best GEAR as you'll be then thrown into a storyline quest: Where Light Won't Reach. This is it..the final battle we'll need to do in the 1.2 storyline. This one is a little harder than Roboresurrection, but you should be able to handle it at your current level (Level 12 or so). So, please don't waste your time doing this. At that point, you should wind up with 99 Electrolytic Condensers and 30-50 Laser Sensors. Once you've done this a couple times and have become stronger, instead of going aerial with the Shuriken, stay grounded and start doing Warp-Strikes (R1 + TRIANGLE) on the legs with the Shuriken. Hold R1 and use the Right Analog Stick to change the target point from their body to the tusk. He's pretty easy in this phase as he'll mainly just try to swat you with his hand and periodically jump back. Go to the lowest level of Lestallum and toward the Shuttle Truck where you change Outposts. Power up the 6,000 kW Power Line it was blocking to get The Wanderer's Sigil: Cheer. Final Fantasy XV Wiki Guide. It's OK if you let some Goblins run past you, as you should kill him pretty quickly. They'll be a little higher level and a tad more difficult, but still beatable. Go back to the middle level of Lestallum and talk to Jeanne (Send Power). I killed Jormungand in Crestholme Channels and got this. Refer to the Chocobos section to catch a Level 50 Chocobo and then level it to 99. There are eight Outposts in FFXV Comrades; six are explorable with shops and NPCs and two lead to danger where you'll fight a boss (Galdin Quay and Insomnia).Note: Hammerhead appears as an Outpost on the electrical grid along the path to Insomnia but is inaccessible to your Avatar; you can access . Goblins run past you, as you 'll be buying a lot Monica. Need for Ifrit is Fire Resistance, but you actually also need Shot Resistance too to take down the battle.
